We never sell your data. Ever.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal health data to anyone. We will never sell or hand over your menstrual, cycle, or lab data to third parties, data brokers, advertisers, or law enforcement. Your health story is yours — you can export it anytime, even after you cancel.
Apple Health is read on your device
When you connect Apple Health, Sage + Stone reads the metrics you choose — heart rate, HRV, sleep, temperature, cycle entries you have logged, and more — on your iPhone. iOS controls these permissions, and you can turn any category on or off at any time in the Health app's Sharing settings.
Cycle phase, when shown, comes only from data you have entered yourself or from Apple Health. We never infer your cycle phase from symptoms, and we never use your data to predict a fertile window or for contraception decisions. Anything Sage + Stone shows is wellness context for recovery — your own personal trend, observational, and something to bring to your provider, not a clinical assessment.
What Stone, your AI coach, sees
Stone is an AI coach (powered by a large language model) — never a human and never a clinician. To write your daily read, the app sends Stone a focused, minimal summary of the signals relevant to that read. Stone uses it to explain your personal trend in the moment, then the conversation is done.
What we do
- Send only the minimal signal summary needed to generate your read.
- Route everything through our own server so the AI provider never sees who you are.
- Keep all language to your own baseline and personal trend.
What we never do
- Your data is not used to train any AI model — ours or a provider's.
- We do not attach your name, email, or account to what Stone processes.
- Stone does not diagnose, treat, or tell you that you have a condition.
What lives on your device vs. on our server
On your device
- Your Apple Health metrics and the readings the app computes from them.
- Your detailed cycle, recovery, and health history.
- Your chosen life-stage and personal preferences.
On our server (Vercel KV)
- Account basics like your email, plan, and subscription status.
- Operational data — waitlist sign-ups, demo requests, anonymous usage events.
- Not your raw Apple Health stream or your detailed cycle/lab history.
When you ask to export your data, we hand back everything tied to your account in a portable file — yours to keep. You can do this any time, including after you cancel.
The lines we will not cross
We will never sell your data. We will never sell, share, or hand over your menstrual, cycle, or lab data to third parties, data brokers, advertisers, or law enforcement. If the law ever compelled disclosure, we would push back to the fullest extent available and tell you wherever we are legally allowed to. Your sensitive health data is not a product, and it never will be.
Sage + Stone is a wellness app. It is not a medical device and does not detect, diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Everything it shows is observational context based on your own baseline — bring it to your healthcare provider for any medical decision.
